Help with Playing Movie on Samsung Chrome book

Hi,

I just pick up my new chrome book and try to play a movie off the USB drive and I formatted the movie as .AVI and .MP4, they don't play. If I pull the little line forward in the video it will show the picture but no sound or no picture will play when I hit play.

I check the sound and it work with music and everything.

Is it something that I'm missing with video playing. I love the chrome book, but if I can't get this to work with return it.
