Help with rom manager on optimus s

When rom manager wants to install clockworkmod and it tries to identify my phone, the optimus s doesnt come up. Does it have another name?

Its not supported. Root and install a custom recovery on your phone by following instructions in the stickied thread in the ROMS/Hacks section of this forum

I tried to port ClockWorkMod to the Optimus S but when I had trouble and got no support I gave up

Z4Root 1.3.0 will auto-root the Optimus S for you

You just need to download a Terminal App from market,
download the replacement recovery image and a couple other files

Follow the text commands to flash the recovery image - then you are set.

Not too hard to do - just need to follow the instructions.

I have cwm recovery (+voodoo) on my galaxy S, and it's as feature rich as recoveries go imo. thats too bad it didn't work out, smccloud.

I have that recovery, but I was going to start working on CM for the Optimus S. When I got no help w/ anything I gave up.
