Help with rooting Unrevoked for Froyo 2.2

Ok so I've rooted a few phones and I did them the old school hard way. I recently got an EVO and tried using Unrevoked. I followed all of the instructions and for some reason on the 2nd flash after I do an HBOOT while trying to instal ClockworkMod Recovery I get an internal error: couldn't find misc. pop up in the script. Then my phone boots up like normal. I checked to see if my phone is rooted and it's not. I've uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, downloaded the script after deleteing it several times and ran the script 20+ times and I still keep getting the same issue. Does anyone know why and what I can do to get my phone rooted using Unrevoked? Any help would be apperciated.

what HBOOT do you have?

Theres more to the process of the one click program you install from unrevoked. You might want to redirect this to XDA. the guys over there are more familiar with the steps for rooting with unrevoked.

please advise that the author of that thread is currently updating everything with the correct HBOOTs and everything else. some links are down and etc...
