Help with the sprint downgrade to froyo.

I know this has been beatin half to death but i'm a noob when it comes to this I'm sorry..
Okay I have got to this point..

I downloaded the file and did the wizard thing.
But problem I'm having is i dont see where it says "update.zip" any where on my computer or file...

What i did try was just dragging the unzipped file to the SD card and doing the power key, volume and home which doesnt work at all...A android restart screen doesn't come up at all or whatever is supposed to happen.

All i want is the phone back they way it was when I bought it..

leave the file zipped.

turn your phone off.

press and hold power/volume/home when turning the device back on.



I did this to the wife's phone. After install and on the restart it froze in a loop on the Android screen. After 15 min I just did a battery pull, and it fired right up after that. No issues since.

If I do this as stated in the link posted, will I lose photos that are saved to my SD card?

Everything on the sdcard will be untouched. But i would recommend backing them up anyway. Better safe than sorry.

Easy enough to do either directly to your pc or with a cloud service like dropbox.
