help with wallpaper proscan 9" tablet

[Android Central Question]

hello. I'm new to the forum and of course need help. I just bought a 9" proscan plt9774g tablet and a trying to change the background. if i leave the original there the whole image fits the screen but as soon as I try to change it the image is way too big for the screen. I've tried changing the image resolution and nothing works. if I try to go back to the original image it is too big as well. it's very frustrating. it is using Android 7.1.2. also there's no way to change icon size either. all help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Try installing a 3rd party launcher like Nova Launcher, which allows you to adjust the size of icons and the grid layout for the homescreen, folders, and App Drawer. You can also change icons by installing icon packs from the Play Store. Not sure if it will solve the problem with wallpapers, but it's worth a try.
