Help!

I am using an 1897 Captivate, recently updated to gingerbread 2.3.3, rooted. Lost the 3 key combination to reboot into download mode. Used Quickboot to reboot into recovery... and this is when the problem started...

I'm looking at the recovery menu, and up and down move through the menu, but power does not make a selection. And I have no way of getting the device to boot normally.

Help?

Pull your battery and replace it, then boot up normally.

Well, the battery pull didn't work, but eventually something shook loose and I was able to get it into download mode. Flashed the Kernel re-orient for Serendipity 7, and all was back to normal phone... had problems with 3g until I re-flashed back to the JL2 modem... seems to be working well so far!
