Can someone plzzzzz help! I want to root my xt907 but cant find a guaranteed way to accomplish this since latest update....... i bought the phone after update was release..... any info is greatly appreciated

I understand that the root method was released a year ago, so things would have changed with latest updates as you mentioned in your post. If it doesn't, follow the source link to the XDA thread where you would find more information rooting the device on latest updates.
