flash a rom through clockworkmod, just go to install zip from sdcard.

i do that and on the one that works, it reboots and then stays on the white htc evo 4G screen. should i just wait?

i put on the SC card zipped and named pc36img.zip. i tried installing from clockwork and it says :

E:Can't open /sdcard/pc36img.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted

Not from clockwork. Do it from hboot. Push power button and volume down at the same time. Let it do its thing for a minute and then when it asks if you want to update then select yes.

That file isn't for clockworkmod, it's for the boot loader, I believe it will return your system to stock.

Since you said when you flash a rom it just gets stuck I need to ask if you wiped the partitions before you flashed the rom?

In clockworkmod before you flash a rom, wipe: dalvik (under advanced), erase all user data, go to partitions and format boot, system, data, sd-ext

And then flash the rom.

You need to rename the file so it says PC36IMG.zip, not pc36img.zip. The file name is case sensitive.

Mine has to be done lower case or it won't read it.

You know, I just tried and mine reads it both ways. I know I've read several places that it needs to be in caps but I guess not.
