If this is true then why did HTC's CEO tell us the phone was ready to ship?

The CEO of HTC said the phone was ready, and was going to ship. I'm not doubting that they told you this, but I am doubting whether what they told you was true.

I am also surprised they let you take pictures of the buyer's guide that's not made public as yet. I really hope what what you have been told is true and the release date does not get pushed any further. I also put $50 down at BB.
The flyer pics were taken at my house, they gave me the flyer. What the CEO of HTC didn't tweet was that they had to recall every phone that was shipped. Like I said, I am 32 years old and have absolutely no reason to lie or make things up. I want the phone just as bad as you guys! But in the best buy mobile systems computer there is a document from Verizon that says in plain English that the release date is the 28th!! Why on earth would I make this up or how in the hell would I get a flyer if what I am saying is not true? It's in every bestbuy mobile's computer, why they are not telling people I don't know but I would wager ANY and I say ANY amount of money that the phone releases on the 28th!!
No one's accusing you of lying. We're accusing the people you talked to of it.
What they said still doesn't make sense. HTC's CEO said this last week during MWC. They wouldn't have time to recall all those phones AND ship out new phones for the 28th. That's not how it works. If that's what actually happened, it would be a process that would take a month, not a week.
Then there's also the fact that there has been no mention of this document by any other leaker. If said document exists, some best buy mobile employee SOMEWHERE would have seen it and it would have gotten out. It just defies common sense.
Oh, and Verizon doesn't release major phones on a Monday. They just don't do it. They release them on Thursdays or Fridays so they can have the full weekend to sell them.
First off. You coming on here saying "This is the honest to GOD truth" and "i seen it with my own eyes" does not make your story any more believable than us BB employees who post here. We all have been posting the same information. We've all seen emails and heard stories. I can tell you for starters, whether you believe me or not, the excuse that HTC is to blame. That's a load of bull. Idc if the regional manager said so. He doesn't know more than the reps at mobile who get the exact same emails. Their are two main components in the delay, which is not a delay since VZ never announced a date, the 4Gvolte and the skype video. Their i no problem with the phones build because if that was the case, they would need to recall the units. Some stores including my own have them in stock already. The problem is a simple ota update fix that can occur once VZ is satisfied with the testing.

Congratulations on sharing a booklet with us that also proves nothing except furthermore prove a launch date this week. We print our adds a few weeks in advance. If their was going to be a delay again, we would either pull the TB from the add or put coming soon. The ad is advertising the TB as if it's available now. So your post about more proof the 24th is no longer the date needs to retitled to my story about the delay that can be tossed in with the other 50 stories about the delay.

Like I said, believe what you want. The problem with the phone's could have been small, why would it take a month? Apple's ships phones from china to Kansas in 2 days!! You mean to tell me that HTC couldn't recall their shipments, reinstall the os and ship them back out in 2 weeks? Common man!! All I am going to say it just wait until the 24th and we will see if I am wrong. I got a 100 dollar bill through paypal that says I am right. Why best buy employee's haven't seen the document or are not saying anything about it, I have no idea. It could have been released today for all I know, but it does exist. Maybe the reason they showed me is because of my corporate account and the hundreds of lines we are using with Verizon, the Verizon rep is the one who showed me all of this and even gave me the flyer!! How could I magically come up with that? I mean look at the dates for crying out loud. Believe what you want, I'll see you guys on the 28th!!

I wonder if I begged enough Verizon would let me swap out my iPhone for a TB and just activate it when they say its ready, haha.
HTC COULD recall the phones IF it was necessary. Which it's not. There are VZ rps promoting the TB, there are Ads. Commercials. Do you seriously believe they would do this for a recalled phone that wil be pushed back? Like i said, im not calling you a liar. If you have the phone in store like you say, take a picture tomorrow with your screen name on a piece of paper attached to a box and I will paypal you a 100 bucks!! Now we will see who's lying and don't give me crap about losing your job, your using a fake name so nobody will even knew you took the picture. If you have them in store, prove it!! Cause I gaurantee you can't!!
Yea we got them yesterday. We also got a shipment of screen protectors for the TB last friday. In our systems we have an in stock date of the 21st with no street date. That means VZ has not given us a day to release them. This means when we put them on the floor, if theirs no street date, we could begin selling whenever we want.
Apple can ship one phone quickly, yeah. But how about a hundred thousand phones? Can they reflash 100,000 in a week, then ship them to the states and get them distributed? Hell NO they cannot. Logistics can't break the laws of physics.
What you've given us doesn't prove anything. The flyer doesn't prove anything, other than BB wants people to know they have it. The fact that its getting released TOMORROW tells me the launch is closer than the 28th. That, and everything I've mentioned to you above; the thursday thing, the HTC thing, the BB thing.
I just showed you a flyer that isn't even out yet! I have the add that comes out tomorrow. How much proof do you need? I don't work for best buy or know anyone who does. Like I said, on the 24th when the phones aren't there to be bought, don't say I didn't say so. I was just trying to give you guys some real answers and now I am a liar and was lied to but yet I seen it with my own eyes but ok, whatever you guys say.
Yea, me going into the warehouse and opening up closed boxes is allowed. Do you think i care if you think im lying? No sir. Im also not going around bragging about a rumor as if it's the etched in stone truth. I think i'll pass. Believe what you want and i'll believe what i want.
