HERE mapping program

I'm testing the much heralded mapping app HERE. How do you start navigation? Google maps has a START button. I can't find the equivalent method in HERE to start navigation. What am I missing?

Thanks. Those instructions mentioned that there is a START BUTTON. I still can't find it. Does the car have to be in motion for it to start navigation?

No idea, but if it's that hard to use for simple navigation I'd probably just delete the app

I did and they claim that it's an icon not a START BUTTON. It appears to work and I'll test it later on the road.

When the route option are shown, (usually up to three) you select the one you want/prefer by tapping the arrow (vehicle icon) for your selected route to start it (on right hand side. Icon also matches colour of prefered route). Hope this helps.

I used that app a few years ago, navigating by foot around Oslo, Norway. It worked well as I had downloaded maps in advance of my trip.

Wasn't HERE Maps a Nokia app way back in the day? IIRC, the biggest advantage was downloading maps and using them offline.

Yeah I believe that was used on our windows phones if I'm remembering correctly ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Here is an app that works for simple navigation. It does not utilize the functionality of Google maps. It can't use Google Assistant like integrating text messaging or email while navigating. Their support acknowledged that they are working on it
