Here's a question about movies...

I buy blu-rays now and they all come with those digital copies. Is there a way to drop those into my X? I've been stuck ripping old dvds with handbrake, which is cool for star wars movies, but nothing current. Any apps out there that do this? If this an apple drm issue and the formats just don't play nice? Would love to know.

On the DVD catalyst program that I use to put movies on my X, I seem to recall them saying that the two used the same format.

I use Handbrake for Star Trek the new one, Iron man, TransFormer . Works great on my storm. So when my droid x comes in this week i hope. I bet it will work just fine.

i didn't think it would play drm protected files. don't all the digital copy things give you protected drm?

you can just use something like handbrake to rip the digital copy disc, it'a basically a dvd isn't it?

That isn't how it works unfortunately. You put the disc in, enter a code when prompted, and the content is downloaded in a format optimized for itunes. When I go into handbrake and try to convert the files it starts and then quickly force closes. All dvds have worked, though. There was a program called requiem (i think) that would remove drm from specifically these files for android compatability, but as of itunes 10 it no longer works.

i guess they changed how they did them then. i remember my dark knight's digital copy disc being a dvd, i thought it was kind of weird.
