Hesitating on Android 10

So far I'm getting pretty good battery , but need more time to test , but easily a day battery the SOT will take time to adjust as short time I've had it

My 3a xl is doing really good on battery. I can go through one day with decent heavy usage and still have plenty of juice by the end of the day. Plus I think there is a battery savor but never tried it out yet.

Yeah battery saver I turn on at 25 percent.
My 3a is getting almost 7 sot and a day battery so far .

Thanks to all who responded. Not referring to AC in particular, but I see an awful lot of articles and posts online about issues with upgrading Pixels to 10. If I feel daring I'll attempt to upgrade to 10 this weekend. When I do I'll update with how it went.

I finally upgraded yesterday and while it took a bit longer than previous upgrades (about 30 minutes) it was successful. I am seeing some lag now which I wasn't before but it's barely noticeable and not all the time.

I'll see how the battery life is when I get back to work tomorrow and follow a normal usage pattern.

After upgrading my 3aXL to 10 my battery life is now lousy.

I unplug at 4:45 AM and put it back on the charger around 10 PM. Generally my SOT is anywhere from 4-6 hours a day.

Prior to the upgrade I was seeing about 30% charge left at plug-in time, sometimes a little more.

Now, at 2:30 PM with SOT of 2:51 as of now, my battery is down to 33%. I doubt I'll make it to anywhere near the end of the day without a charge.

This is a very noticeable and negative change. Not happy.

Factory reset and it should fix those issues. I know nobody likes factory resetting, but sometimes it'll turn a problem upgraded phone into a perfectly working dream. I used to always factory reset after an os upgrade and never had any issues.

With my pixel I trusted Google to know how to do an upgrade right, and so far I've had no issues with 10. Also it takes a few days for the phone to relearn your usage habits, because the new Android version is ALL about battery optimization....a little too much if you ask me. My battery life was worse at first too, but it's exactly the same as pie now (which is quite good), plus I get the benefits of 10, which I think is the best version of Android yet :-D
