Hello Android Central,

I've lurked on this site for a long time already and have finally decided to join this wonderful community. I reside in Canada, using a prepaid Telus plan with an unlocked Moto X DE. I like to think I'm pretty good with tech, having been a follower of tech YouTubers for a long time and learning some basic coding from my computer programmer / engineer dad, and also just generally growing up alongside technology and knowing how to Google my problems to, say, root a phone or something.

Android has always been my favourite mobile OS since I learned about it, simply because at the time I was still in junior high (middle school to Americans?) and I wanted to be the different kid who didn't have an iPhone. Ironically, my first personal tech device was an iPod Touch. Sadly, I was still young so my parents opted to not let me get a phone until last year, when Android was already at Jelly Bean :p Lo and behold, one day I was presented with a Nokia Lumia 520 because as a highschool student, "I shouldn't be thinking about phones and stuff" (yeah, whatever dad). For Christmas I bought myself my current phone, the unlocked Verizon Moto X Developer Edition, because I love its gimmicks and because there was a deal that made it super cheap, and also because the OPO that two of my friends invited me to get is just way too big for my tastes.

I decided to make a profile today to post a thread about a problem my Moto X is facing. I think if you click the link to my profile you should be able to see it? As a new user I'm not allowed to directly link until 10 posts in, woops.

Any help on the aforementioned problem would be greatly appreciated. Anyways, I look forward to joining these forums and learning more about the world of Android and its users, because from what I've seen it's a great community. Hopefully I can learn more and share some knowledge as well.

Welcome to Android Central! I believe I posted a reply in your other thread.

Welcome to Android Central!
In a way, you and I are similar too. My dad is a programmer as well and so am I (currently a high school student). I can code in 8 different languages, so if you need any help in that area, feel free to message me! Now, in regards to Android, if you have any questions at all, don't be afraid to ask! We are all very eager to help you and we don't bite :)

Again, welcome to our wonderful community!

Hey, nice to meet you all! SpookDroid, thanks for the offer but it's been fixed already. Turns out the Xposed module Xposed Media Scanner was the culprit. No clue why though...
