So I'm making the Android plunge this weekend. I'm eligible for an upgrade through Verizon on Sunday and will be getting a Droid Charge. This marks a return to smart phones for me after a 4 year hiatus. I had a Motorola Q and decided that I didn't use enough of its features to warrant the extra $$$ each month. I went back using basic phones since.
This forum has already helped me quite a bit. My brother's a Verizon Wireless Store manager and sort of preaches the company line. I was originally going to just get the phone in a Verizon store but may go with either Amazon or Costco as that could save me up to $100 on the phone. I was also going to wait until my next paycheck to get the phone but that's July 8, the day after Verizone's unlimited data plan ends.
Don't know if I'll go with the rooting but I'll definitely do some reasearch on here!
