Hey google not working

As the title states. When I try to use it to dial a phone call it pretends to dial then just goes to the microphone. I use hey Bixby and when it dials it puts the person I called on hold. I have the latest Verizon updates. I have only had this phone for 2 weeks and regret getting it. I wanna love it but as I have to dial hands free when driving this is a must. Thank you for any help.
