What's up everyone. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and let it be known that I am a noob to the world of rooting and Im hoping to learn good information from anyone and everyone here. Ive done some research on the subject for my phone which is the Galaxy S4 Active. I originally purchased the phone thinking cause I thought that since I was going to get an S4 it might as well be the one that is water proof and such. Ive come to realize I should have gotten the regular S4, but Im still satisfied with my phone for the most part. Im hoping to change the most part to an all the time thing though. Thanks for taking the time to read this short intro, wanna know anything else just ask..

I was looking into the S4 Active for a friend but I noticed that the specifications were subpar compared to the regular S4 so he opted to go a different way. Why do you have second thoughts?

Well my GF has just recently gotten the S4 and we both take a pretty good amount of pictures and the picture quality is a lot better with the S4 vs the Active. The Active only has an 8MP camera vs the 13MP camera on the S4. My Active has been running really slow lately, I have to kill all my apps and such on a regular basis and once I do that the Active runs just fine but it gets a little cumbersome always having to go in and kill all the active apps anytime I want to use the internet or whatever, she has no issues with that on her S4. granted she still does kill her apps on occasion but nowhere near the amount that I have found myself to be doing so on the Active. but at the sametime I know a lot of the reason mine runs slow is all the bullcrap apps that come on the phone that Ill never use causes it to use the memory that could otherwise be utilized for other things, hence the reason Im doing research on rooting. Main reasons I think I would be happier is the whole Camera issue, but the Active still takes great photos. So with that being said if I could get mine to the point of being able to run smoother I would be just as happy with the Active than the S4.

No ive not, I dont know which ones to disable and which ones to not disable.. I looked at a few and hit the disabke button then it asked me if I wanted to replace it with the factory version and I selected no\cancel cause I wasnt sure what that meant..
