I recently switched from a Captivate to a GS2. I find the AT&T platform to be very simlar on both devices and quickly repopulated my GS2 with my usual preferences. However, there is one thing I'm finding just MADDENING!!! It involves the stock music player.

I have a file manager and also PowerAmp installed on the phone. In both of these instances all the music files show as one would expect...meaning...song tracks show up in the order they normally would. But... in the stock player... all the music tracks show up in ALPHABETICAL ORDER! This just will not do AT ALL! For the life of me I can't figure out why this would be. The preferences on the stock player are pathetic to say the least but this is beyond nonsense.

I've tried customer support to no avail. If there is anyone out there who has an idea I would shurely like to hear it.

Yes, I could make a playlist of each artist putting the info in manually and in the correct order so I can see all the tracks available from the artist and in there proper order, the only thing is ...why should I have to? I've got over 1000 songs on that bad boy. It would be infinitely better if they would just show up as they're supposed to! When you bring up an artist you want to see all the tiltes available from that artist. Not waste a bunch of time tracking down songs by folder... aka ... Album. I use my music player in the car and it's down right dangerous plinking around trying to find songs from a particualr artist that are spread out all over the place. HELP!!!!!

I think PowerAmp is a great app but there are almost too many adjustments than can be made on the fly. I use it almost exclusively for headphone use. The stock music player is more streamlined and easier to operate while driving.

I'm hoping someone has an idea. Any thoughts would help. Thx in advance.
