Hi all,
I've been following AC for almost two years now.
Originally a former iPhone owner (and a very happy one) for the past 4 years (iPhone 3G in 2008 and iPhone 4 in 2010), I have to confess that I didn't have a very good opinion on Android, especially when those around me using it had so much hate for Apple and their closed ecosystem. But apart from that palpable, visceral and irrational hate, there really wasn't anything that could have convinced me to go Android.
There were other things as well: the not-so friendly interface, lack of a powerful "App Store", the seamless integration/interconnection with iTunes and other services that made it so simple to use an iPhone.
In a few words, I felt that it didn't compete well enough with the iPhone.
... Not until the Galaxy S2, Galaxy Nexus and most of the recent and powerful devices running ICS. It was at that time that I became very interested in Android and started paying real attention to the news.
When it became obvious that Apple wouldn't be releasing another device anytime soon to compete with - at the time - upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3, I made my decision.
Now finally rocking a Samsung Galaxy S3, I'm pretty happy with how it feels smooth and fluid.
My objective in going over to Android was to have most of, if not all, the apps already available with my iPhone and in that, my wish has been totally granted. So much apps, games, customizations, settings, tweaking, I just love it!
I expect to spend the next years on Android as long as it delivers and I believe it will do it effortlessly
See ya!
