Glad to be here! I figured it's about time for me to start doing some research on Android, since I've been an iPhone 3GS user for the last couple of years.
I'm currently using my 3GS on iOS4 (jailbroken with jailbreakme.com) and I've loved every minute of it. But I'm coming up on my upgrade date in September and I'm trying to get a feel for what I want to do. Obviously, the rumor (har, har) is that the next refresh of the iPhone may be released this fall, but I'm liking what I'm seeing from all the new Android handsets, so I've decided to take a long hard look before making a decision whether to stay with the iPhone or move over to Android.
I know my way around jailbreaking iOS pretty well now, but when it comes to rooting Android, I'm completely lost...lol. I'll be reading all the stickies around here to try and learn as much as possible and I'm sure I'll have lots of questions along the way.
Also, I'm still learning about the Froyo/Gingerbread/Ice Cream stuff (confusing to someone coming from iOS!), but I'll get there eventually.
Anyway, thanks for having me and I look forward to getting (lots!) of help from you fine folks!
