LOL, pardon my ignorance, I don't know the correct name for this app. I hope you all know what I'm referring to: you can tell the phone to search for something, text someone, call someone, get the weather condition somewhere, find a restaurant,...all by voice. Is there a way to start this app from someplace other than the phone keypad? As the photo shows, I can tap on the lower left corner of the keypad and call up the "Hi Galaxy" app, but I'd have to open the phone app first.
Thanks,

You are looking for the S-Voice app. Which is Samsungs version of apple's Siri. To access it just double tap the Verizon branded home button.

Thanks, but it didn't work. I double clicked it, nothing happened. Guess I'll just tap the S Voice icon on my homepage then.

You can also use s voice from the phone app. The button is at the lower left

Open s voice and tap your menu button and go into settings. You can customize how to acticate. For example, I can simply say "hi galaxy" from my lock screen and it opens up, ready for commands.

Thanks,

Thank you, this is a nice feature to know about before I get my GN2.....I currently use Vlingo on my Thunderbolt and when I say, 'hey vlingo' I was able to customize it to answer back 'whats up Margie'

Can you do this on the GN2 as well?

Like I always say I learn something new everyday, thanks for the tip on the lock screen.
