Got a new DROID and love it. It hates me. It's a smartphone... Ummmm Hmmmm... Smarter than me is all I know.

I changed carriers, upgraded my phone big time - how was I to know that the other outfit must have a cell tower on my roof because I had great reception. On this DROID I cannot get even a speck of one little bar from any spot anywhere in the entire gigantic space that is my tiny little 2-bedroom seniors community - home.

My new carrier told me today; Not in these exact words, "Too bad, so sad, sucks 2BU"! But that's what they meant. Now, me and the whole of this outfit that rhymes with "MA BELL" gonna lock horns....

Is that an introduction? I don't normally do these things but I haven't gone toes up yet so what the heck? You're invited to check back on this one. 28 years putting bad guys (and gals) up for a long visit at the GRAY BAR HOTEL did not leave me unaware of how to get it on!!!!

Having worked in the cellular construction industry for a number of years, chances are your current provider is on your roof, not your old one. There is a certain distance you need to be away from the tower (or in this case, rooftop) in order to get the best reception. The antennae are aimed to a certain down-(or up-) tilt in order to get the desired coverage depending on the area you are in. If your coverage is really that bad, I would suggest getting in touch with your provider, explaining your situation, and see if they can't provide a solution. Best of luck, welcome to the club. :)
