I'm brand new to Android and/or any smartphone! My dd34 and dgd13 are both somewhat experienced, so I'm attempting to catch up!
I've researched a bit and decided I'd go Boost mobile and purchased a Samsung Transform Ultra. I've been hooked on a LG UX260 for years, so was not yet willing to give up my keyboard! Prior to my new phone arriving, I'd like to learn as much as possible so I don't make any big mistakes right off the bat!!!
I'm from the Tacoma WA area, lived in WA most my life. Lived in Southern OR for about 7 yrs and briefly in the L.A. area and the San Antonio area.
My dd21 was skilled basketball player, offered a full ride college scholarship and then had to forfeit after a spine injury. Fortunately for me, my 3 grandkids are all into basketball so now I get my fix from watching their games.
Any initial do's and don'ts are appreciated, I am a bit paranoid of picking up a virus on my new phone, so am hesitant when it comes to downloads, etc. Are the links here checked out promptly?
