Hi, I've just got the LG G4 and I just can't take screen shots. How can I get this working?

Hi, i've just got the LG G4 and i just can't take screen shots

i have tried the button combinations on the back and i've tried the quick memo way, but nothing seems to do it, i use screen shot a lot and this is really annoying me grrrrr...HELP!!

Welcome to the forums. I have a G4, the button combo works for me. Do you have a carrier branded device?

For the LG G3 (I assume its going to be the same as the g4) you have to press the power button and the volume down rocker at the same time. In my experience however it rarely works.

What are you trying to take a screen shot of? There is a way for screenshots to be disabled (I couldn't take screenshots of my car insurance info).

Have you just tried it on your home screen?

I have tried pressing the volume up and down buttons simultaneously, as well as the power on/off and volume down buttons together but doesn't work. I read on google that you are supposed to be able to just press the quick memo button on it's own and it should do it ?

It won't take them, or you can't find them?

I've never used the quick memo way. But when using the buttons, you're pressing Pwr + Vol Down at the same time and holding them for maybe a second, right?

I have held for 2 seconds and again even longer. Still nothing. Sorry i'm new to the forums and forgot to say thanks lol :-D

If I swipe down from the top, then tap on the button for Quick Memo+, it makes the click, and brought up some different buttons at the top of the screen. I didn't tap on the check mark, and it did not save the screenshot. But you don't even get this?

It's a pain in the a**. Power and volume down at the same time, I have found that if I hold them for a couple of seconds it seems to work better. It's a strange way to do it, but keep practicing it WILL work

QuickMemo+ works pretty nice! Just pull the notification pane down and click QuickMemo+...you can even make annotations. When done, click the check mark to save and the screen shot can be found in your gallery!

I seem to be the odd one out, as I find it way easier to take a screenshot on the G4 than with other phones, mainly because I only need to use one hand.

Yeah, QuickMemo+ works for screenshots as well.

I only use QuickMemo. Never old get my fingers to do the back buttons on My G2 or G4 (honestly my only complaint about the back buttons).

ok I've sorted it i found the "capture plus" on my pull down menu (i must of removed it from the options there)..woohoo!! also found a few screen shots in my gallery that i didn't even know i'd taken? i don't get any notification that i've taken a pic, or no shutter sound? Thank you all so much for your help :-D

There should be a little animation when you take a screenshot.

I'm glad this was asked. I take a lot of screenshots for trying to understand/diagnose battery life, always using the 2-buttons method. One challenge is looking at them later, and trying to remember the conditions that a given screenshot was showing (eg- why I took that one).

Using QuickMemo+, and immediately making an annotation on the saved image, might help. Thanks.
