I am new to the "mobile world"; just got a Samsung Note 3 & Tab 4 Pro this year. I am not totally ignorant of tech (have been using computers since the days of IBM cards) but have never seen the need of a cell phone. The only reason I have one now is because our kids want us to keep in touch when we travel. I joined this forum because I want to learn about my phone (and tablet) and I believe this site has more useful info than most other sites.
We live in Austin Tx, but camp all over the US during good weather; and most of the time we have limited cell service. Our kids keep insisting we stay in touch, so I bought a cell phone & use Verison because they have better coverage in areas we go. Got the Note 3 because it has good battery life and lots of memory (Note 4 not available yet). Same reason for the Tab which replaced my laptop.
