Hidden Rebate!?!

Just wanted to shed light on something I discovered yesterday picking up my TB. The verizon rep rang up the phone and had this surprised look on his face. He tells me I got $75 off the phone. He said it only was for "select customers". He started telling everyone else about it and his manager quickly told him to quiet down. So anyone who still needs to pick up their TB ask about this!! You may not be eligible but I walked out of their only paying $175 and was stoked.

Probably has something to do with your corp discount showing up at time of purchase. Big thread on this yesterday.

Do you have get an employee discount on your plan? If so, it's probably some sort of phone discount because of your employer

Same thing happened to me. When ringing up the total a $75 rebate popped up. Something about Upstate NY and HTC. He was surprised, and i didn't question it. I kick myself now for not going witht the 1 year contract after getting that discount.

Does that apply to the contract as well? thought it was only for the phone itself. If so, i'm on it. Can anyone confirm?
