Hi, is there a way to hide banking apps without root?

I tried secure folder but is a bit of a hassle to me.

Thanks!

You can hide apps from the App Drawer and Homescreen by long-pressing any empty part of the homescreen, tapping Settings, then "Hide Apps on Home and App Screens." You can still open these hidden apps by going to Settings>Apps. Is that what you're looking for?

Who are you wanting to hide the apps from and how secure does the hiding need to be? I just put them in a folder with a non-obvious name. I also use the App Lock app to stop them being opened "accidentally" as it asks for a pattern lock to be drawn.

The thing is if my phone gets stolen while I'm using it there are several banking apps which their passwords can be recovered using sms (there is no way to change that) so I want to hide them.

Use Secure Folder built into OneUI.

I can't remember if it creates a second app or moves it entirely.

Either way, put the one with login info in there. If it keeps two of the same app, clear the data from the one not in secure folder and then hide it per above.

the best and easiest way is to open your banks from browser, they all have, and also faster than apps

I tried sf but apps aren't updated. Most banking apps force updates so it's not a long term solution.

Hide apps should work, is there a way to automate hide and unhide? Thanks

I think you would have a more serious problem if someone stole your phone while using it, more likely to rob you for money not to get into your bank app. But I agree Secure Folder on Samsung would be a good option.

If you're that paranoid about it, turn off face unlock and set a long pin and use something like App Lock on your banking apps (and messages).

If that's still not enough then this isn't a software issue, it's a your habits issue.
