FOR THE TL;DR CROWD
Important features to me:
1) FAST processor. I really want something quick/snappy. No lag/stuttering. Something that won't be completely obsolete in terms of performance in a year or two
2) 2GB or more ram (I want a workhorse remember)
3) stock android experience. I really rather not get something with a heavily altered UI
4) something built well. I hear lots of quality complaints about the nexus 9 and nvidia shield tablet
Micro sd slot is a bonus but not necessary
Idc if it's a major company like Google/nexus or Samsung or a foreign company I may not have heard of
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I hear the tegra k1 is the best processor available for tablets now but multiple reviews of the nexus 9 and nvidia shield tablet have me wondering if it's true.
How important is it to future proof my tablet by buying one with a 64 bit processor as that's supposedly gonna be the new norm?
Im pretty much looking for a tablet to replace my old laptop. I intend to use it for everything. As far as android software limitations are concerned I'm not worried. I intend to either dual boot A Linux distro or possibly Windows for my media creation needs.
I definitely don't want a Windows or Apple tablet though as most things I've learned to do on android without even touching Windows.
What say you?
I have looked into nvidia shield tablet. Nexus 7 and 9. Samsung galaxy tab s. Xiaomi (think that's how it's spelled) and a few others.
Any/all help appreciated
