Hit power button to lock video display?

Can't figure out how to post this YT video link, so you'll have to search if you're interested. Sorry! So at 5:45, he shows how to lock the display while watching a video. I think its a cool feature but cant get it to work. If u try it, pls let me know if it works for you.

It only works when you view videos with the stock video player.
