HKC P711A battery drains really fast

My tablet drains really fast. I lose one percent in about a minute or less. With Wi-Fi on it lasts about an hour, without Wi-Fi, about an hour and thirty minutes. I've tried using battery saving apps but it makes no difference. I've turned off location services, sync, brightness all the way down, no live wallpapers, weather notifications, you name is it. And there isn't a specific app draining my battery. My tablet has been this way ever since I got it. Is my tablet just faulty or something?

Try letting it drain completely, then with the tab off put it on the charger, let it charge to a complete 100% while off. Maybe this will help.

Did this ever work? I picked up two of these used and both lose about 1 percent a minute during any type of use beyond idle.
