Recently I've had massive problems with error -67 and all of my navigation programs crashing on startup. Driving me nuts. Finally called Sprint and got Tier 2 support. Got a cute sounding girl named Krystal. She said that living in Brooklyn I should have 4G service. Here's what she did:

Changed my NAI from one name to another (on her end)
had me take out my battery for 5 minutes then put it back in.

edit mode
put in password
click Data Profile
Menu then Restore
Don't touch the phone. It will reboot and then enter Hands Free Activation. Let it do it's thing.
After it's all done go to Settings
About Phone
System Updates
Update Profile.

After all this you may get Error -67 one more time.

After all that I noticed that suddenly I had full 4G service. This is in Red Hook, Brooklyn. It worked for me all the way up the BQE.

Amazing! I'm a happy camper. Check out the numbers.

Just wanted to add that I'm rooted using Unrevoked3 with SetCPU and ROM Manager.

Yeah this is unheard of...
But very neat way to fix any network problems I guess.

Lol.... It still cracks me up when people talk about 'signal bars'.

Signal strength displayed on your phone is meaningless. It is all about speed. With 1 bar of 4G I was getting faster than what you are getting with 3+ bars. What does that tell you?

I have two bars of 4G strength. Never mentioned anything about signal bars, though. Has nothing to do with my thread. Not sure what you mean to say.

Meaningless? They may not be the most accurate, but they are a good representation of your signal strength, which does matter.

Thanks the tip DucatiDude ! 4G is working in Brooklyn, NY with full signal (6 bars)! Will test speeds now.

Wait...I'm still lost. So we have to get with Sprint Customer service to take this "governer"-like setting off our devices to really haul tail on network speeds?

@Raf:
Go to settings.
System Updates.
Update Profile.

Let it update as it may take a few seconds (more like a min.).

***Also, update your location:
Settings.
Location.
Allow network to determine your location. Turn on.

Don't know if that last part also helps, but the error-67 has stopped since I did this. And I have turn it back off.

IO#_what!... Apple_who?...

Nice, thanks for the tips im now at 3.9 down @ 1.5 up ...

I was 3.2 down and .97 up before the updates...

Feels nice to be in a heavy 4G area !

They did the same thing with me when I switched the evo to my line from the one I upgraded... I was like "are you sure?" lol but it all worked out when all was finished.

I was getting the same error the day I got my Evo. They did the same with mine but I happen to be at a Sprint / Evo event. I was told it was an issue when the phone was provisioned earlier that day. (I just got the phone that day) I was not having any other issue with it, 4g, wireless, internet, phone were all working great. Haven't received error 67 since.

With 0 bars of 3g, I was getting faster speeds than full bars on EDGE on an iPhone 3g s :D
