Home button noise

For some strange reason when I press the home button to use fingerprint to open it makes a sound. How do I turn it off

What kind of sound do you mean? A hardware noise, like the click of a button, or software noise like tapping a "button" on the screen makes?

Like tapping a button on the screen

Try settings>sounds and vibration then scroll down to System section and turn off Screen lock sounds, did that fix it?

It was off. I did a hard reset and it seems to fix the problem. Have no idea why it started
