Home Button/Task Manager crashing

Hello everyone, this lollipop update has given me so many bugs on my S4! hah
This is one I haven't been able to look up online, I'm not even really sure what to search for but I'll explain what happens.
I can be in an app, doesn't matter which app and long press the home button, and usually it will open the list of all of the apps I have open so I can close them. However, sometimes it will go straight to the home page as if I pressed it shortly, and sometimes it will open the task manager but only for about a second before going to the home page.
Thanks to anyone who thinks they know what's causing this

Sorry, I meant a factory reset. As in back up all you data, stuff will get wiped kind of reset.
