Home button to wake up screen

Can the note 3 be set so that the home button doesn't do anything unless the screen is already unlocked? Otterbox hasn't released the commuter case yet and with the phone in my pocket i pull it out and 50% of the time the screen is on.

I don't believe so. That sort of thing is baked into the ROM itself.

Boo! Figured i would ask. Hopefully with a case it will be less prone to happen.

Should be. My S3 on a case had no issues.

I have no problem taking it out of my belt pouch. ... now when I was carrying inside my pocket yes...every time I took it out the screen was woken up.........

Do you carry the phone in your pocket with the screen facing out or facing in (towards you)?

I have it facing my leg as its in my pocket. I will try tomorrow facing out and see if it hapens less. I guess it would.
