home made docks droid x

I was going to get the droid x home dock. Then i found out it does not work with a case( like the car dock does). I did some seaching to see if there was anything out there and seen a lot of people making their own. so i made my own. please post your homemade docks i would like to see what people have have made. if you have any question about the one i made just ask. this dock is only a charging station that turns phone in desk dock mode. I'm planning to make one with hdmi and charging.

I will post a how to when I build my next one. I have some new ideas for the next one. Place if anyone has any ideas on how to make a better post them. I trying to come up with something universal and adjustable to work with more then one type of phone.

i'm sure most already know, but the way to tell the phone it's in a dock is with a magnet. which dock (desk vs auto) depends on the magnet polarity ("facing" forward or backward). the magnet position is the same for both (between battery door and "Google TM"). i made an auto mount from an old mount i used to use for my treo 650 and it works, but it's kind of a bodge job and i want to do it over before posting pics
