Home Screen Landscape Mode?

I feel stupid....but is there a setting for the ability to rotate home screen to landscape mode? Just not seeing the setting, if there is one. Don't really wanna use Nova or other launcher.

Nope, not on the stock Samsung launcher. Nova has it

Nova don't act right. Doesn't importance touch wiz home screen. Just puts Android bot icons where the app icons supposed to be. Grrr

I always keep hoping Android will incorporate this because I see my wife's iPhone 7+ does this and thought it was cool, but unfortunately no. Currently, our Android does not do it.

Hopefully they will update it and add it in.

Not sure what you mean by that. Nova has much more customizations compared to the OEM launcher, just needs some set up beforehand

Well, it is cool iPhone 7 Plus has a landscape mode for the home screen but you will soon realize that many of the apps from the app store don't support landscape mode and frustrates me a lot!

I loved the nova launchr. Used it for a couple years. There is an option to import touch wiz home screen, and normally it brings everything over. However when importing it puts all the icons and applications in their proper places that I had on touch wiz home screen, but it does not put the actual app icons, only the filler android bot icon. The green one, in the place of all of the app icons.

I went ahead and used Nova again, because I do want the landscape and other gestures. I just had to redo the home screen icons in Nova, and not import the ones from touch wiz

Coming from the iPhone 7 plus that personally drove me nuts lol. Would turn sideways and then every once in awhile get stuck, just enough to be annoying. Just my personal opinion.

Personally I like it because I have my car holders set up for landscape. Guess I'll have to rotate them back. My $200 Moto phone did it fine.

Samsung's launcher does not support landscape on the home screen, but almost all 3rd party launchers do.

I acknowledge munnarg's response, but figure I might as well as in case of any update. Has anyone figured out how to enable rotate to landscape mode for home screen and phone app? I live in California and there's a law making it illegal to hold your phone at all while on the street, even at stop light. I have a mount, but various apps, including the touch wiz home screen (Default android home screen) and the default phone app, wont rotate to landscape mode. This thread is under Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8+. I have the S8+

I have Nova, and I guess I could set it up where Nova would be my "Car" setup
