The home screen timeout too short, how can I lengthen it

Welcome to the forums. What device do you have? In general you can change this time in settings - display - sleep.

I have a Galaxy S9. After I swipe and get into the phone the home screen dims and goes off in too short of a time. I would like to lengthen the duration so it stays on longer.

Settings -----> Display ------> Screen Timeout.

You can adjust the amount of time it stays lit in there.
