Homemade desk stand for Wireless Charger

While waiting for proper desk accessories to be designed for the Nexus 5, I took my newly arrived wireless charger, an old piece of corex I had laying around, and some packing tape to make one in the interim (I was instantly hooked on the convenience of wireless charging and a tilted desk stand when I got my HP Veer, and wanted to get back to that level of convenience).

I used a 30/60/90 drawing triangle to cut the pieces, and the 60 degree angle is perfect for my desk. I was going to weight it with gravel or sand, but it was raining outside at the time I was making it, and the gravel was wet, so I used a few handfuls of drywall screws instead (you could use anything).

Summation: It's quite ugly, but completely functional, and it's in my home office, so function is far more important than looks. The angle is perfect, the magnet holds well in either orientation, a simple twist of the phone releases the magnetic grip, and now it is as easy to charge as my HP Veer (I just wish the functionality of the hands free dialing was also as good as the Veer so I could be on the phone just using my BT headset, rather than needing to touch the phone to dial)

+1 for your creativity.
+2 for bravery.

Don't put it close to the edge of the desk, just in case.

Very cool :) should be no worries about it dropping. I have the wireless charger stuck to the dash of my truck, about the same angle, and there are no problems driving around like that with the magnet holding the phone.
