Homescreen and lockscreen wallpaper keeps changing

I recently bought an LG V30+ and in order to make it feel more Pixel-like I replaced the LG stock launcher with modified Pixel launcher (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-rootless-pixel-2-launcher-google-t3688393) and started using the live wallpapers that Pixel 2 has.

Everything worked out just fine before I decided to try out Microsoft's Next Lock Screen which changed the wallpaper on both homescreen and lockscreen. Of course this was easily fixed by changing the wallpaper back to the live one. Eventually I decided that the Next Lock Screen wasn't for me so I disabled it and removed it.

However, even after disabling and removing the Next Lock Screen application my wallpaper keeps reverting back to the default wallpaper that Next Lock Screen uses after a few hours and I have to manually change the wallpaper back to what I want on both the lockscreen and homescreen. This is pretty annoying so any help would be greatly appreciated. Factory reset would obviously get rid of this problem, but since I've spent a good while already customizing apps I wouldn't like to do that just yet.

Factory reset might not even do it, because of the way wallpaper works in Android. (Factory reset doesn't reset the phone to factory condition, it just removes any non-system changes you've made to the phone. If Next Lock made any system changes, they'll remain.

If you can, install TWRP and make a data backup, then reflash the stock ROM and restore the data. That might work (or it might still leave you where you are now.) (You should actually make a full backup, system and data, just in case you ever mess the system up and have to restore that.)
