Is there a way to hide the icon labels on the homescreen apps?

yes but i cant find it. not sure if its stock android or golauncher but i know i've seen that feature

Well id like to be able to do it without a launcher..if I can't ita not a big deal..get wondering if here was an app or mod

I use Go Launcher and I know you can hide the icon tags with it, but I'm pretty sure you can't do it with the stock launcher.
