Hi Guys,

I recently got a Honda accord 2016 with the Sport Trim. Like the car a lot. However, I am seeing 2 things which have kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.
1. Anytime I connect my android phone (oneplue) or iphone 6 to the car over bluetooth and start a whatsapp/viber call, the phone just drops the call. I have tried on both the phones and the behaviour is super strange. For the oneplus, if i receive a whatsapp call when the phone is connected to the car over bluetooth, the call immediately drops. For the iphone in the same scenario, it wont transfer the call to the bluetooth ever. This is super annoying. Its like something is preventing the use of third party Voip apps on the car. I called Honda technical support and their answer was: "the car only support regular calling and we give no guarantee for third party apps". what a sucky answer. So i am stuck here trying to figure out why this is happening. Oh and regular calls work fine. Is anyone else seeing this issue and if so, is there a fix?
2. I got the premium audio system on the car with the subwoofer and all. i was pretty shocked to see that when u push the volume above half, the entire back panel starts vibrating. What shoddy build quality. Is this a known issue or is it something that Honda should fix?

Welcome to Android Central! Can you clarify--does your car system actually have Android Auto, or are you asking more about general issues when connecting via Bluetooth?

Hi,

Yes i have the new Accord 2016 that comes with Android Auto. Now i cant figure out if its a bluetooth issue or an android auto issue.

Hello!
I'm not a tech savvy guy. Therefore, my answer will be very simple. I had the same problem and I just connected my i-phone-6 to the USP outlet of the car with my i-phone's cord and I can use whatsup now. Moreover, my Google map app appeared on the Honda screen and I don't need my GPS anymore.
Hope it helps.
