Honor 7 honor 5x on 3

Ok I was looking at some new phones and come across the honor 7 and honor 5x on 3. But the honor 7 is being offered at 35 quid a month and 5x for £37 for the same deal. I dont understand why as from what i can make out the 7 is the better one so why is that one cheaper. Pay as you go it is the dearer one its confused me whats the catch why is it cheaper on that deal im confused

I had the 5x for a couple of weeks, it was a brilliant phone, super fast, fingerprint scanner is second to none, I just couldn't get used to the UI.

Yeah from what i have read the 7 is slightly better but its being offered cheaper on contract but its more than the x5 to buy on pay as u go i wondered why

It could be to do with the fact that the 7 is older than the 5x - especially if you are looking to get it out on contract. The 7 was released in July 15 whereas the the 5x was Nov 15.
