Honor 8 $259 at Amazon

Sure there are people out there completely happy with their Honor 8 as well as those who are not. I am just sharing an opinion and personal experience that fell short of my expectations. It's great there are such a variety of products to choose from.

We welcome everyone's opinion here, and my opinion is condemning a whole company based on your bad experiences with one phone , while it certainly is your right, isn't really fair, IMO. That's the point i was trying to make.

I see what you are saying. But again it's my opinion, one of the millions of other out there. Which is the following—Huawei is out of any further consideration for me. I simply would not be able to take the risk of repeating my experience with their product or service anytime in the future. Basically I cannot say anything good about the company.

And it's funny to read here about the need to increase visibility for Huawei in the US. Quality must come first, not advertisement.

If you're talking about the US, yah huawei isn't going to a big name in the states for a while
In three years they will have surpassed Samsung worldwide I predict. This is of course after they have entered officially in the US market and had a couple years under them with all the major carriers. To be honest I see Honor doing better here than Huawei because of what you get from an honor vs the pricing. Huawei side might be a little too expensive like the rumors about the Mate 10 being 1000 dollars. For them to over take Samsung here they cannot price themselves out of the market. The Mate 9 pricing is where they need to be to surpass Samsung in three years. They've stated that they won't officially break into the US market until 5g hits and is going. So like someone said it'll be a while before we see Huawei Honor here in the US.

It looks very unlikely for Huawei to surpass Samsung in market share by 2020. Even in the event Huawei would manage to realize such an ambitious goal, they will not be able to sustain it.

Considering that the unlocked note 8 is $930 direct from Samsung, a $1000 mate is gonna be a hard pill to swallow. And Samsung is giving me $425 for my s5 trade in, which,if i sold, would be unlikely to even profit $100 from the sale. They are also including a gear 360 too.

Dunno how companies think their products can be priced at that price tag. But $425 for your S5 trade in is a steal. You can't even sell that phone that price.

It is a promotional rate obviously. A used s5 would sell for around $100.
