I just saw this is now available on B and H for pre-order. It's $449, available in blue, white and black, and comes with the Honor 8 gift box for no charge. The standard 34gb is now available on Best Buy at $349. I plan on upgrading to this phone, but now I'm so conflicted.

I'll offer a suggestion to you.

B&H has a great 30 day return policy. I got my Honor from them directly because of so many goodies at the time (oh, they still have them!), and of course, the 30 day return policy. If you feel like it, you can buy it from them (did I forget to mention free shipping and no tax if you live outside of NY?) and try it out. Best Buy will charge you a restocking fee if you return it and you don't like it.

We don't know when the 64gb will become available, so it all comes down to a matter of patience and if you have it.

I put in a pre-order for the blue. The looks of it in blue really appeal to me, but if it takes more that a week or so, I may switch to black and call it a day.

Black in 64gb is now available, but Blue might be another month. So what did you end up doing?

I originally had the blue version and ended up exchanging it on a gut feeling at the time for my nexus 6p due to pricing that I was able to get on the 6p. That said I loved the Honor 8 and knew I'd be getting again but when I got my second one, the Blue was not available so I have the Black. I can tell you from having had both that you really can't go wrong with either color. I was tempted for a bit to even get the pearl color but since the Blue wasn't available I defaulted to the black which is a tie to the blue. Either color I'm definitely sure of that you will be quite happy with. The one thing I will say about the blue that it was a shade I've never seen before so it was unique to me which I like. You'll be thrilled with either color though I promise ya

I ended up getting the black 64gb. Just in time. My LG G4 got stuck in bootloop the other day, so I made the switch. Unfortunately, since I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile, I lost some pictures and text messages, and since the other phone is stuck in bootloop, there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to get them back.

As far as the new phone, I'm liking it so far. The battery seems to last longer, and it's faster. Still working on getting my setup the way I want it, and I haven't really had much chance to test the camera, but looking forward to it.

Pretty common in early g4s. My old g4 had it too.

I am having issues with mightytext, which I use for work all day long and notifications in general. Hopefully, that is just down to me being new to the phone. Coming from a Moxo X 2014 PE though the notification system on this device leaves something to be desired but I'm hoping to work through that. Although, if I can't get mightytext to work I may have to return or sell this phone.

The notifications are fixed in the nougat update if the beta is anything to go by.

Have tried reaching honors tech support. There has got to be a way for this device to accept that app. I hate to see you loose such a good device due to just one app not working. Hopefully tech support can fix the issue for you. By the way if you have a 64g and you do get rid of it, as long as you have all the box contents and original boxes, please let me know. My email is certifiedappraiser1975@gmail.com. I hope you can keep it but if you just cannot, please contact me. I am in the market for a 64g instead of my 32g. I'm not sure why but I just am. I was able to get it working last night by rebooting and I found the app wasn't in the protected list. I added mightytext and google messenger and after a while it started working. I'll be able to really test it today. If that works I can deal with getting all else in line over time. I'm just missing notifications from a few apps that I'm used to getting. Hopefully, this evening I can report back with good news the app is working. I did read online about issues with it but hopefully they've been worked out by now.

If there is one feature that I don't like it's the protected apps. On the one hand, it helps with battery drain. On the other hand, I shouldn't have to protect Galaxy of Heroes to get notifications.
