Honor 8, Axon 7, or One Plus 3 and why?

I am looking changing carriers to T-Mobile from the big red to save some money, and have unlimited data. I don't want to spend a ton of money on a phone, so these three option seem the most interesting to me. The Honor 8 definitely has the curb appeal, but each seems to have distinct advantages/disadvantages. Honor 8 appears to have the least attractive UI. Axon 7 has the best audio, but I don't use my phone for a lot of audio outside of bluetooth in my car. One Plus 3 has no expandable storage. I could use a little guidance from those that have experience with these phones.
Thanks.

I only have experience with the Honor 8, but I have heard and read a decent amount about the others to help guide you.

I think this comes down to what are your top things in a phone, and it would help if you shared them.
The Honor 8 is more "pocketable" over the other two.
If you care about camera quality quite a bit, you can't go wrong with the Honor 8 or OnePlus 3.

The connectivity of the Honor 8 is excellent! Battery life is also pretty good too. The OnePlus 3 is a better all-around device though (at least in a general sense).

If you want a great phone at a good price I would go for the Honor 8. Amazon has used "like new" Honor 8's in the $300 range and new ones for $50 more. I have a Honor 8 and love it --- build, software, finger print reader, screen, smooth operation.

I'm also considering the Alcatel Idol 4S. Wondering how much of a difference the 652 Snapdragon makes.

For me, the honor 8 has the best radio, whereas the others aren't great so, I would automatically exclude them

I agree tried both the Axon 7 and oneplus 3 both had horrible cell signals. I really like the honor 8 but after using a Nexus 6 so long it's hard to get use to a smaller screen, plus I'm getting older, eyes aren't what they use to be :)

I've been wanting to trade off my 8 for the 4S also.
Wanting a bigger screen and the audio features of the Alcatel.

Have you tried to make the font larger?

Just an fyi, the honor 8 supports CA and VOLTE. The idol 4s does not.

You should try it if you can. You never know if you might find things that you like more about the 8 over the Idol and vice versa.

These are great points. I would add that Huawei seems focused on providing support for the Honor 8. I've seen them involved in various message boards, Amazon, etc. I have heard support and updates aren't great with OnePlus, though I don't have personal experience.

Tomorrow, Huawei is announcing EMUI 5.0, I believe. There may be some major updates to the UI. I actually already like it, but a lot of people don't. I wouldn't factor a phone's UI much in my decision as there are always custom launchers.

I would reiterate--what's important to you? The size of the Honor 8 is perfect for me, but it may be too small for some. The camera takes fantastic daylight shots with really cool focusing features, so that was important in my decision. You can find deals on the Honor 8, so for $350 at B&H Photo, I couldn't pass it up. I'm really pleased with this phone--possibly more satisfied than with any other phone I've purchased.

Thanks for spreading the good word, Matt! We are glad you're pleased and always striving to offer the best support on the Honor 8. Anyone looking to get a hold of us can call the Honor Support Team at 1-844-524-6667. (RL)

It looks like they are going to be issuing a 64gb variant in the US. The last two phones I owned were 5.5 inch screens, and while they're not uncomfortable most of the time, I find it annoying that I have trouble pressing the upper right part of the phone without using two hands. I may wait for 64gb model and go for that.

@Joel - in regards to the UI - I can personally attest to the fact that EMUI has come a LONG way in the past year. I owned the 5X before the Honor 8, and it's much more stable, fast, and easy to use. You may be impressed.

The biggest thing for me is no app drawer. Though Nova fixes that
