Honor 8X near launching- wait or not?

My cousin is previous owner of Honor 7X and quite pleased with it. Some design and specs leaked online ahead of September 5 launch. Considering the price of Honor X series (6x/7x) was always around my budget, I'm planning on getting the 8x (smaller version, 8x Max with 7'12 is too big for me), I still want to hear some suggestion, It is worth to wait or purchase comparing it to the latest of other brands?

- color options are three - Blue, Black, and Red

I don't know either. I would go for the Max as it's roughly the size of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, although the problem with the Honor 8X Max (and perhaps even the regular 8X) is the price. I'll go ahead and assume that you need it to import it from China as well, most probably AliExpress. As the 8X Max is already prelisted on Aliexpress for preorder at around 320 euro, and since it's rumored to come with either Snapdragon 660 or Kirin 710 (way too weak for the price if you ask me), I might as well throw in another 80 euros and buy a Xiaomi Mi 8 for 400 Euro, which packs a Snapdragon 845, 6gb of ram and 256gb of storage (also on Aliexpress). Frankly, since it's going to be released tomorrow, I'll hold out a bit more, I really like that big screen with almost no bezels.

TLDR: If a big screen doesn't matter to you, you might as well get the Xiaomi Mi 8.
