Shut up and take my money, I wish I lived I Europe right now. Hopefully these variants get a release here in the US.

I hope so too. But perhaps they are trying to iron out a carrier deal to give it more exposure, and that is causing the delay

I really hope this is what the delay is. I just hope they do that over lap it with a mate 10 release.

Man I want that variant! I just want an honor 9 but now I'm speechless. This would be a heck of a device but sadly I don't think we will see this variant here in the US. It'll be December before I think we will even see the regular honor 9 personally so this variant won't see the light of day here in the US. You better bet if it did show up that would be my daily phone in a second over my S8. Right now I'm consideribg getting rid of my S8 to actually get another Honor 8 but I just wish they would hurry up and release the regular honor 9 here in the US. Oh by the way Huawei honor has already stated they won't make any carrier deals until they officially announce they're coming to the US officially which is said to be not until 5g hits the market. We are two years out max from Huawei Honor striking carrier deals according to all the research I've done.

Well att has already launched what they call 5g already. So does this mean that a carrier deal is imminent?

Thier 5g is just an updated version of 4g lte. They are using that name to just to trick the consumers into thinking you are getting something new when it's just the same old network.

Yes which is why I said what they call 5g. This is the same trick that att and T-Mobile did with "4g".

But regardless if Huawei said that they are working with carriers when 5g comes out and att comes out with what they claim to be 5g then, the question remains...does Huawei qualify that as 5g?

I mean... Apple succumbed to Att when the iPhone magically got 4g after a software update.

If they are smart no, also if they are smart yes. They could use it as a barganing chip to have the first "5g" phone on att. Anyone who pays attention know that all of the flagship phones are "5g" compatible.

Actually att explicitly said the s8 and s8+ for 5g. No other phones were mentioned. So othe current flagships like the iPhone 7 aren't capable of "5g"

Huawei Honor won't officially hit the US with just one carrier deal. When they arrive it will be full throttle with multiple carriers and 5g from what I remember opens up some pretty cool features not only faster speeds. I read an article about the benefits that 5g will bring about but I don't recall some of the said features it brings to life. It was pretty amazing.

Well the latest rumor i saw just mentions just att. Of course I am sure they are in talks with other carriers
