Hopefully this is not true?

I just don't like the stance Verizon is taking, about ending unlimited data plans as a whole. I feel Verizon should at least keep some kind of unlimited plan. Especially, since they will be rolling out superphones starting out with none other then the Thunderbolt that are made to use some serious data.

I mean why sell a power house phone if you are going to limit what it was made to do? Which is to use up data?

I agree, especially because AT&T has already jumped the gun and ended all unlimited plans, Verizon could really grab them by the balls and keep offering some kind of unlimited plan. Would be a great selling point and probably force AT&T to bring back an unlimited plan of some kind, which would be good for everybody.

Put me down for a vote on Verizon NOT forcing everybody to choose a tiered LTE plan in a few months

Instances where cell companies brute force contract changes on customers are few and far between

I usually buy phones on one-year contracts, but this time around I bought the 2-year just for this reason - I want to lock in unlimited LTE @ 29.99 for as long as I can as I suspect VZW won't "ex post facto" those of us that just signed up yesterday
