Horrible battery life on 3g...

Yea so.. i live in florida and of course im the smaller town right next to the bigger one.. parkland/coral springs.. coral springs has 4g and that actually drains my battery less than 3g as far as i can tell. But literally putting it on 3g, wipes the battery dead in maybe 30-60 minutes. It will drop so much so fast i don't know why. Just loading simple web pages like spark notes or mobile sites. This is really my only issue, would just like to know why. It doesn't really show anything abnormal sucking up data but i guess something has to be.
