Hotmail Account number

Please how do I stop unwanted emails from my Hotmail account. Aside from the usual emails that I have signed for I get tones upon tones of mails mostly on websites selling items I do not need. I want to stop all. Thanks very much.

I'm not sure if there's an option, but go to outlook.com (which is basically what Hotmail became), log in there, and look for a spam filter option.
