Hotspot Disconnections

Ok, I really need to know if anyone else is having constant disconnections from the hotspot. I have two phones and both of them are disconnecting frequently (sometimes up to 4 times in an hour). Most of the time, I have to do a complete battery pull for it to work again. This is totally unacceptable. HTC is blaming Verizon, Verizon doesn't know why. I would really like to know if it is a problem of the phone or the Verizon hotspot. I am definitely returning one of the Rezounds as that is the one that is dedicated for home hotspot use but I really don't want to return the one I use for phone use because other than the hotspot issue, the phone is great! I have gone through all the steps, Verizon customer service, tech support, HTC tech support, different settings, etc. I just would like to know if this is a widespread issue, THANKS!

hmmm I just signed up for the MHS, if I notice mine doing it i'll cancel it. We shouldnt have to pay for a service that doesnt work all the time.

Mine drops out occasionally (once every other day or so). I can turn off the hotspot, pull the battery and turn it back on after the phone boots and get it working in about a minute, or just wait 5 minutes and it comes back on its own.

If I don't turn off the hotspot before pulling the battery, I get an error message when the phone boots up and have to turn off the hotspot and pull the battery to get it to work again.

I just got a similar issue that was diagnosed as a 4G sim chip issue. Tell verizon to swap out your 4G sim card.

Thanks for the input. Verizon had me try the hotspot in another location other than my home since I am on the fringe of 4G even though I get 4bars. Well I went to my mothers which is in the middle of 4g area and could only get 2 to 3 bars, still got the disconnections so it is definitely the phone (software, sim card, etc.) I am thinking of just trading one of the phones to a Galaxy Nexus and see if this will fix the problem. I love the Rezound but I need at least one of the phones to have a good hotspot connection, Please, if your having hotspot issues, contact Verizon to document this. It will probably help in getting a software fix for the problem. Funny, the Verizon rep said I should exchange for a Thunderbolt, not sure why, still HTC and they had major problems with the hotspot!

I don't know if that's funny or tragic..?? Trade a brand new phone(with a few issues) for an almost year old phone(with a lot more issues)? I think most of the problems we are all seeing are based on manufacturing...and SENSE...I knew I didn't like mfg UI's but do I ever hate Sense.

Still no disconnects. But I'd say that browsing on my lalptop is clearly slower than it was with my previous BB cable-tethered.
